Concern raised over killing of Rhinos in Kaziranga Park

An Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) member Kumar Deepak Das today expressed concerns over killing of Rhinos in Kaziranga National Park in Assam and sought effective steps for protection of the endangered animal.

NEW DELHI: An Asom Gana Parishad ( AGP) member Kumar Deepak Das today expressed concerns over killing of Rhinos in Kaziranga National Park in Assam and sought effective steps for protection of the endangered animal.
Das raised the issue through a Special mention in Rajya Sabha. P J Kurien who was on the Chair shared the concern of the member.
The AGP member expressed concern over illegal stone crushers work near the Park which he said was causing harm to animals.
Kaziranga National Park is located in Golaghat and Nagaon districts of Assam.
A World Heritage Site, the park hosts two-thirds of the world's great One-horned Rhinoceroses.
