Blue whale found dead on Narara island

The carcass of a 50-feet long blue whale was found lying on the shore of Narara island near Jamnagar, forest officials said.

RAJKOT: The carcass of a 50-feet long blue whale was found lying on the shore of Narara island near Jamnagar, forest officials said.

The carcass was found yesterday at the island about 60 kms from Jamnagar, sources said adding the mammal might have died nearly a week back.

This could be a small whale as they generally grow upto 100 feet, the sources added.

The dead whale might be put on display at the marine park, sources added.
