Birds settle in manmade nests

BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh Eco-Tourism Board will organize a day long eco-tour package for Bhopal’s Van Vihar National Park on June 23. Van Herds migrating birds are seen migrating here. Interestingly, these birds have settled in the manmade nests set up here as showpieces.

Tourists left a convenient bus decorated with attractive photograph of natural scenes for Van Vihar at 9 am from Eco-Tourism’s office situated at Urja Bhavan, Bhopal. After enjoying sightseeing, bird watching etc at Van Vihar, tourists will reach Van Vihar at 12.15 pm. Here they will be served breakfast and lunch. At Kerwa, tourists will enjoy several adventure activities like commando net, Tarzan swing, monkey crawl, boating etc.

It may be mentioned that “Jungle Caravan” eco-tour package is being launched by Madhya Pradesh Eco-Tourism Board from June 23, 2012. Under the package, tourists will be taken on tour of tourist spots in and around Bhopal from 9 am to 5 pm. These places include Van Vihar-Kerwa, Kathotiya, Samardha and Chidikho.
