Big B to be Maharashtra’s new tiger conservation ambassador

MUMBAI: Superstar Amitabh Bachchan will be Maharashtra’s new ambassador for the tiger conservation.

In July, the Tiger Protection Foundation approved a proposal to appoint Bachchan as ambassador to promote the Save Tiger campaign and directed the environment minister to approach him . Mungantiwar wrote to Bachchan last month and he accepted the offer. Mungantiwar said the superstar’s association with the project would help raise awareness about saving the striped cat among the public.

Bachchan is also brand ambassador of the state of Gujarat.
