Ballarpur leopard released

The intruder leopard that was captured in daredevil rescue operation from Ballarpur city on Monday was released back into the wild during the wee hours of Thursday.

CHANDRAPUR: The intruder leopard that was captured in daredevil rescue operation from Ballarpur city on Monday was released back into the wild during the wee hours of Thursday. A microchip has been embedded inside the skin of the leopard to help its identification in future. The three and half year old male leopard had injured three persons during its intrusion in thickly populated locality of Ballarpur. The beast was shifted to Rambugh forest nursery in Chandrapur after it was captured. Veterinary doctors carried out its physical examination and discovered no injuries on its body.
