6 illegal crusher units in Hazaribagh National Park destroyed

Six illegally operated stone crusher units were today destroyed in the Hazaribagh National Park during an operation by district authorities.

HAZARIBAGH ( Jharkhand): Six illegally operated stone crusher units were today destroyed in the Hazaribagh National Park during an operation by district authorities.

A Special Task Force, set up by deputy commissioner Manish Ranjan, razed the units to the ground, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Satyendra Singh, told reporters.

Singh, who led the team, said cases were registered against the arrested persons at Ichak and Padma police stations.

The crusher units were being illegally operated in the Hazaribagh National Park, DFO (Wild Life Division), Hazaribagh, R N Mishra said.

The raids were conducted when smoke was sighted in the park area, he said, adding five tractors, other machines and equipment used by crusher units were seized.
