38 poaching cases registered in two years in Chhattisgarh
Chhattisgarh police and forest department officials have registered 36 cases of poaching and have seized organs of 44 animals in the last two years, the Assembly was informed.

RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh police and forest department officials have registered 36 cases of poaching and have seized organs of 44 animals in the last two years, the Assembly was informed.
Forest minister Vikram Usendi informed the House that 26 cases of poaching were registered in 2007-2008 while 12 were registered in 2008-2009.
The poachers targeted Panthers, Beer, Cheetal, leopard and other animals.
In a written reply to a question of Congress MLA Nandkumar Patel, Usendi informed the Assembly that police have seized organs of 44 animals which include elephant's tusks, hides of Panther, nails of beer and horns of dear.
