15kg mongoose hair seized, four arrested

BIJNOR: Four persons were arrested and 15kgs of mongoose hair was seized when a brush manufacturing unit was raided by a joint team of police and forest department officials here.

The team also seized 2000 finished and 5000 unfinished brushes from the factory during the raid at Mohalla sarai in Sherkot on Thursday, official sources said.

The Forest Ranger A K S Tomar and SHO Subodh Saxena said those arrested have been booked under the Wild Life Protection Act, 1972.

The factory owner, however, managed to escape.
