Mandu Hotel sealed on Green Tribunal order
The Dhar district administration sealed a hotel in Mandu on Tuesday evening after the National Green Tribunal Bhopal bench passed orders in this regard.
Talking to TOI, SDM Neeraj Singh said that the Bhopal bench of National Green Tribunal has passed the orders for sealing the hotel as a case is in progress in the tribunal there about gross violation of environmental norms in the construction of the hotel. Singh also said that the tribunal has also asked the Dhar district administration to examine whether the hotel building is obstructing in any way, the water that comes into the lake from the catchment area. Another point, the tribunal has asked them to examine is whether the hotel building is 30 meter away from the lake. In both the matters, the administration will have to give an affidavit to the tribunal on the findings. The hotel will remain closed till further orders of the tribunal.
It is to be noted that the owner of the hotel is senior congress leader and former Dhar MLA Mohan Singh Bundela and he along with his son Kuldeep Singh Bundela look after it.
