Leopard attacks two shepherds in Nashik village

NASHIK: Two shepherds were injured in an attack by a leopard at Bhabad locality near Chaas village in Sinnar taluka of the district, forest officials said.

The incident took place on Saturday night, when Ramesh Khatal and his brother were guarding a herd of sheep, forest officials said adding that the wild animal might have attacked them to catch a sheep for food.

The injured were admitted at a local hospital. Following the incident, the panic-stricken villagers have demanded the leopard to be caged quickly.
