Health camp on Environment Day

NEW DELHI: A special health check up camp with focus on ayurveda and yoga was organised at the city's commercial hub of Nehru Place to mark the World Environment Day today.

The camp was organised by Paharpur Business Centre and Spring Clean Limited.

"Yoga does not require running on tread mills or using power consuming fitness machinery to stay fit and healthy. Just 30 minutes of yoga asanas can cure numerous ailments. We can reduce carbon footprint drastically if people switch over from exercising in gymnasium to yoga," one of the doctors told the participants.

Former US vice-president Al Gore's documentary on climate change 'The Inconvenient Truth' was screened on the occasion.
