Godrej Appliances plant at Shirwal gets Platinum Green Company certification

PUNE: The Shirwal, Pune plant of home appliances manufacturer, Godrej Appliances, has been awarded the prestigious Platinum Green Company certification by CII-Green Business Centre. CII Green Co Platinum is the highest recognition for any manufacturing company for its efforts towards ecologically sustainable growth. Godrej Appliances has become the first and the only manufacturing company in the country to be so honoured.

Kamal Nandi, Business Head and Executive Vice President, Godrej Appliances said, "This certification goes to exemplify the efforts put in by Godrej Appliances and the house of Godrej to be green in all our initiatives. Godrej has been known as a pioneer and innovator in the field of appliances through good and green products like CFC-Free Refrigerators, Greenest Air Conditioners, energy efficient appliances and many others. However, not many are aware that we have been thought leaders when it comes to sustainability.
