Featured content: Opportunity to make a difference at Rio+20 summit
Suzlon’s 17 years in the wind energy sector across the world have shown that renewable sources contribute not only to increase access to energy, but to create development, jobs, improve education in a sustainable, green way.

CEO, Suzlon Brazil
It’s been twenty years now since world leaders, NGOs, business representatives and members of society gathered together in Rio for UN’s Rio 92, the Earth Summit.
The reason was the extreme urgency of transforming our relationship with the environment. Since then, a lot has changed in terms of how we think and act towards the major question discussed back then: how we can combine economic development and sustainability.
Today, after two decades, we still have a long way to go in order to answer this question, but we do have a powerful tool to help us. The popularization of the renewable energy is a big part of the solution.
Suzlon’s 17 years in the wind energy sector across the world have shown that renewable sources contribute not only to increase access to energy, but to create development, jobs, improve education, and the most important, in a sustainable, green way.
And, as CEO of Suzlon Brazil, it’s this exciting experience that I want to share during my participation in Rio +20. We believe, since 1995, that a greener tomorrow can be powered with our ideas and actions. Let’s again put all hands together to help creating this future we want.
