Operation Sindoor carried out by Indian Army against Pakistan
The Indian armed forces conducted missile strikes in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POK) on May 7, as a response to the Pahalgam terror attack that happened in April. Codenamed Operation Sindoor, the strikes targeted terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and POK. Several actors like Anupam Kher,Chiranjeevi and Paresh Rawal have issued statements in support of Operation Sindoor.
The Pahalgam terror attack had led to 26 civilians being killed in Baisaran meadow, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22.

Chiranjeevi wrote, “Jai Hind,” followed by an emoji of the Indian flag.
Anupam Kher wrote “Bharat Mata Ki Jai #OperationSindoor" on X.

All about Operation Sindoor
According to the official statement of the government, the strikes under Operation Sindoor were “focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature.” The strikes targeted sites linked to banned organisations such as Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and Hizbul Mujahideen, as per agencies.
The Indian government emphasised that no military facilities were targeted. It also highlighted its commitment to ensure that those responsible for the Pahalgam attack would be punished.
