Housefull 5 teaser: Akshay Kumar’s next film promises to be a ‘killer comedy’

Akshay Kumar is riding high on the success of his recent historical courtroom drama, Kesari Chapter 2. The actor, however, seems to be in no mood to sit back and relax. Akshay is back with another comic caper to delight his fans - Housefull 5. The actor shared the teaser of the comedy movie on Instagram today, April 30. The fifth instalment of Housefull franchise promises to take viewers on a ride full of mystery and humour.

The Housefull 5 teaser was shared on the 15th anniversary of the first film’s release. The film is marketed as a “killer comedy” and revolves around a murderer on a cruise ship. Since it's a part of the Housefull franchise, fans can be sure that the mystery will provide both thrills and laughs in equal measure.

“15 Years Ago Today..... The Madness Began! India’s Biggest Franchise is back with the 5th instalment, and this time it is not just chaos and comedy.... But a KILLER Comedy! Here’s presenting the teaser of #Housefull5! In cinemas near you on 6th June 2025!,” Akshay Kumar wrote while sharing the teaser.

Fans react to Housefull 5 teaser

Akshay Kumar’s new comedy film has raised the expectations of fans, with many claiming it will be a big hit. Vindu Dara Singh, who was a part of Housefull 2 wrote, “Super duper hit !!! Sosa pe kar lo bharosa blockbuster hai!,” referring to his character in the second film.

“Old Akki is back,” an account remarked.

Another chimed in and said, “Another banger is here I'm very excited for Housefull 5 .”

“Finally the biggest comedy is coming back,” a comment read.

One fan called it a mix between different films. “Scary Movie + Glass Onion + Knives Out,” they commented.

Housefull 5 cast

Coming to the star cast of the film, Housefull 5’s teaser will leave you out of breath just counting the number of celebs in the video. The film features Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Nana Patekar, Abhishek Bachchan, Johnny Lever, Chitrangada Singh, Ranjeet, Chunky Panday and Sanjay Dutt.

Jacqueline Fernandez, Nikitin Dheer, Nargis Fakhri, Sonam Bajwa, Jackie Shroff, Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Soundarya Sharma, and Akashdeep Sabir are also part of the film.

The first Housefull film was released on April 30 back in 2010. Since then, the franchise has gained a reputation for its humour and the comic antics of its characters.
