The first weekend of Coachella 2025 was noteworthy for several things. Lady Gaga left the audience awestruck with her performance and Korean boy band ENHYPHEN made their Coachella debut with a bang. However, one performer’s act has drawn in mixed reactions. BLACKPINK’s Jennie has faced criticism from a section of fans for her Coachella 2025 performance.

Many fans slammed Jennie for just lip syncing songs like Mantra. The BLACKPINK singer was also bashed for not living up to the mark of other Coachella 2025 performances, including that of fellow band member Lisa.

It all began with Jennie’s performance on her song Mantra. Videos of the singer’s act have gone viral on social media platforms like X. Many fans said Jennie’s performance did not have anything noteworthy. “Jennie’s Coachella overall was boring. Although props cuz she didn’t have any break with big costume changes. Lisa also performed at Coachella 2025 over the weekend. The singer performed a rendition of Elastigirl, her latest English track. Lisa and Rose were spotted supporting Jennie during her performance too.

BLACKPINK was the first K-pop girl band to perform at the music festival when they took Coachella by storm in 2019. Since then, the band has gained immense popularity in the US.
