Anurag Kashyap, Imtiaz Ali’s daughters react to Pahalgam attack: ‘Were here 2 days ago’

Aaliyah Kashyap and Ida Ali, daughters of filmmakers Anurag Kashyap and Imtiaz Ali, were holidaying in Jammu and Kashmir a few days ago. Post the Pahalgam attack, the duo have shared their shock and grief at the incident. The Pahalgam attack, which took place on April 22, has been called as one of the deadliest attacks in India in recent years.

Taking to Instagram, Aaliyah Kashyap posted that she, Ida Ali and their partners visited Pahalgam just two days before the attack.

Aaliyah Kashyap shared a news report and wrote on Instagram Stories, “This is crazy; we were just here 2 days ago. Praying for all the victims, their families, and all the people affected. This is heartbreaking".

Ida Ali posted, "My heart goes out to all the victims and their families,” followed by a broken heart emoji. She also shared a string of Instagram posts expressing her grief at the Pahalgam attack

Aaliyah Kashyap was in Kashmir with her husband Shane Gregoire. Ida Ali and her boyfriend Krish Agrawal had also joined the couple. Aaliyah and Ida had earlier posted photos from their Kashmir trip.

Bollywood celebrities condemn Pahalgam terror attack

Since the incident took place on April 22, several Bollywood celebrities have expressed their anger and grief at the Pahalgam terror attack. Shah Rukh Khan wrote, “Words fail to express the sadness and anger at the treachery and inhumane act of violence that has occurred in Pahalgam. In times like these, one can only turn to God and say a prayer for the families that suffered and express my deepest condolences. May we as a Nation, stand united, strong and get justice against this heinous act.”


Salman khan, Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vaani Kapoor, Aditya Dhar, Anushka Sharma, Jahnvi Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra and Shahid Kapoor have also condemned the attack.

About Pahalgam terror attack

The incident took place at the Baisaran meadow, located about five kilometres from Pahalgam. Dubbed mini-Switzerland, the place is a popular tourist destination. On April 22, some terrorists opened fire at a group of tourists visiting the place. As per Reuters, - Kashmir Resistance, also known as The Resistance Front, has claimed it was responsible for the attack.
