On the other hand, some came out in defence of the Dangal star. “Just to play devil's advocate, this account has tweeted after the Pahalgam incident and Operation Sindoor. You can check it yourself. Aamir Khan is personally not on social media. I'm not making any claims about his political views or foreign associations, just clarifying,” a comment read.

About Sitaare Zameen Par

The film features Genelia Deshmukh in the lead opposite Aamir Khan. The sports comedy drama revolves around a basketball coach who is tasked with training a team of intellectually disabled athletes for a tournament.

It is worth noting that Aamir Khan’s last release, Laal Singh Chaddha, was a box-office failure. The movie was the subject of a boycott campaign as well due to past comments by the actor on "India's growing intolerance."

With these factors, all eyes are on Sitaare Zameen Par and its box office potential. The film will hit theatres on June 20.
