Modi is not coming..., will provide outside support to INDIA bloc, says Mamata Banerjee
West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee said on Thursday that if the INDIA bloc comes to power, NRC and CAA would be repealed and UCC would not be allowed in the country.

Speaking at a public rally in Haldia in Tamluk constituency, Banerjee said she would take revenge for her defeat in Nandigram in the 2021 assembly polls as the votes were rigged, which led to her defeat.

Addressing a public rally in Medinipur constituency in support of Trinamool candidate June Maliah, she raked up the CAA and NRC issue once again. She has been raising the issue at almost every rally of her campaign trail over the last one and a half months.

Slamming leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari, Banerjee said votes were rigged in Nandigram to defeat her in the 2021 assembly election. She blamed the CPI-M and Suvendu Adhikari of conspiring together and held them responsible for the mass killing during Nandigram movement in the state.

Trinamool will lay special emphasis on Tamluk and Contai constituencies to defeat the BJP candidates in Adhikari's stronghold and will try to retain these two seats. These seats were originally with the Trinamool Congress and were won by Suvendu Adhikari's father Sisir Adhikari and his brother.
