'Ramayan's Lakshman' Sunil Lahri upset over Ayodhya results, shares Kattappa image, says 'they doubted Sita too'

Sunil Lahri, known for his role as Lakshman in the epic television series Ramayan, has expressed his discontent over the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) defeat in Ayodhya during the recent Lok Sabha elections. Following the victory of Samajwadi Party candidate Awadhesh Prasad over BJP's Lallu Singh in the Faizabad parliamentary seat, Sunil took to his Instagram Stories to share his thoughts on the election outcome.

In his Instagram Stories, Sunil posted a picture from the iconic scene of Baahubali where Kattappa killed Baahubali, with "BJP" written on Baahubali and "Ayodhya" on Kattappa. Alongside the image, he shared a note in Hindi, expressing his disappointment with the citizens of Ayodhya.

The note roughly translates to, "We must not forget that these are the same citizens of Ayodhya who doubted Goddess Sita upon her return from exile. What do you call someone who denies even God? Selfish. History bears witness that the citizens of Ayodhya have consistently betrayed their king. Shame on them."

Meanwhile, a series of tweets expressing discontent over the Bharatiya Janata Party's loss in this crucial seat, which is home to the Ram Mandir, are circulating on the web.

A video from Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana serial has gained traction, featuring a scene where Lord Ram says, "No one is more selfish and heartless than the public. For their own selfish interests, they can even demand the last drop of a king's blood…"
