Poll code violations: Most complaints from UP

The EC slapped campaign bans and issued advisories and warnings for poll code violation in 28 cases.

In 15 cases, no violations were found while six complaints were pending.
A total of 49 complaints about poll code and related violations have been received so far, the Election Commission said on Monday. While PM Narendra Modi was named in five objections, Congress President Rahul Gandhi was the target of four complaints.

The EC slapped campaign bans and issued advisories and warnings for poll code violation in 28 cases.

In 15 cases, no violations were found while six complaints were pending. According to a detailed breakup of data for 42 complaints lodged between March 12 and April 26, 25 were against BJP leaders and 13 against Congressmen. Here's a look:
