Mayawati also added that her party might withdraw support from the Congress government in Rajasthan over Alwar rape in case the government fails to take proper action in tothis matter.
Attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BSP national president said women in BJP are scared of their husbands meeting the PM, fearing they too might abandon them like him (Modi).

“How can he (Modi) respect sisters and wives of others when he has left his own innocent wife for political gains?” Mayawati asked.

In a press release, she cited the alleged cases of atrocities on Dalits in Gujarat and other BJP-ruled state. She added Modi has no right to make any suggestions to anyone on Alwar incident. She also blamed PM Modi for remaining silent on most of the cases of atrocities against Dalits. The BSP chief appealed to women not vote for such a person.

Recalling the Sabbirpur incident, she said she was not allowed to speak on this incident in Parliament by the BJP minister and subsequently she decided to resign from the Rajya Sabha.

She reiterated that PM Modi got his caste included in the most backward caste list to suit his political motives. “He is a fake OBC. Akhilesh Yadav is the real OBC,” she said.

She has also added that her party might withdraw support from the Congress government in Rajasthan over Alwar rape in case the government fails to take proper action in tothis matter.

Reacting to the personal attack made against PM Narendra Modi by Mayawati, Union finance minister Arun Jaitley said she (Mayawati) is unfit for public life. “Behan Mayawati - she is firm on becoming a Prime Minister. Her governance, ethics and discourse stoops to an all-time low. Her personal attack today on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi exposes her as unfit for public life,” Jaitley has tweeted.

Meanwhile, addresing a press conference, Union minister Nirmala Sitharaman said Mayawati instead of answering political questions raised by Modi on the rape of a Dalit woman in Rajasthan resorted to personal attacks, showing her anxiety that her party’s grand alliance with the SP in Uttar Pradesh is “going nowhere”.

Mayawati should apologise, the Union minister demanded at the BJP press conference.
