The Coimbatore Lok Sabha constituency, situated in western Tamil Nadu, is currently embroiled in a fierce electoral contest in 2024. Notable candidates vying for victory include K. Annamalai representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Ganapathi P. Rajkumar from the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), Singai G. BJP state president K Annamalai was trailing in Coimbatore constituency by a margin of more than 12,000 votes as of the end of the third round of vote counting.

DMK's Ganapathi Rajkumar was leading in the Coimbatore constituency with 53, 580 votes and AIADMK's Singai Ramachandran was in third position with 23,396 votes.

Coimbatore 2019 Lok Sabha Elections
During the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, P. R. Natarajan, representing the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)], clinched victory in the Coimbatore constituency with 571,150 votes. The BJP candidate, C. P. Radhakrishnan, secured 392,007 votes, while R. Mahendran from the Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) garnered 145,104 votes.

Coimbatore 2014 Lok Sabha Elections
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, P. Nagarajan from AIADMK emerged as the winner in Coimbatore with 431,717 votes. BJP’s C. P. Radhakrishnan was the runner-up with 389,701 votes, and DMK's K. Ganeshkumar received 217,083 votes.
