Modi govt's opposition INDIA bloc to finalise seat sharing by September 30

Opposition bloc INDIA (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance) on Friday said its 13-member coordination committee will finalise the seat sharing strategy by September 30, 2023.

"Seat-sharing arrangements will be initiated immediately and concluded at earliest in collaborative spirit of give-and-take," said the INDIA bloc.

The team on Friday had announced a 13-member coordination committee which included KC Venugopal, Sharad Pawar, MK Stalin, Sanjay Raut, Raghav Chadha, Tejashwi Yadav, Abhishek Banerjee, D Raja, Hemant Soren, Omar Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti, Lalllan Singh and Javed Ali Khan.


An informal meeting of the opposition bloc INDIA was held in Mumbai on Thursday and most of the leaders present expressed apprehension that the government may call early elections for the Lok Sabha, as per ANI sources.

Discussions were held in the informal meeting regarding issues that should be put before everyone in the INDIA alliance conference.

According to ANI sources, the meeting of the INDIA alliance is also likely to discuss the reason for calling a five-day special session by the BJP government, and formulate a joint opinion on key issues like the Uniform Civil Code, Jammu Kashmir elections and mid-term polls.

Apart from this, decisions regarding the formation of some sub-committees like the Research Team, Social Media Team, and National Issue Team will also be on the agenda of the conference.
