The team will hold discussions with the political parties, state government officers, enforcement agencies, district collectors and Superintendents of Police on Friday and Saturday.
On Friday and Saturday, the ECI will meet representatives of political parties, enforcement agencies, nodal officers of Central paramilitary forces, special police nodal officers, chief election officer, state chief secretary, DGP, administrative secretaries and senior police personnel, a release said.
The ECI will also meet district collectors and superintendents of police, it added. The ECI will address a press conference on Saturday evening before leaving for Delhi, the release informed. The term of the Maharashtra assembly ends in the last week of November.

In recent years, the Maharashtra state assembly has faced significant political crises, including unexpected coalition formations, internal party disputes, and defections within the ruling coalition, all of which have challenged the government's stability and led to shifts in alliances and power.
While there are 10 constituencies in Mumbai city, 26 assembly seats constitute Mumbai suburban. Key constituencies include Dharavi, Malabar Hills, Colabal, Versova, Borivali and Byculla.

Currently, the majority of the assembly constituency seats in the city are held by BJP and Shiv Sena members, with three held by the Indian National Congress, and one held by the Samajwadi Party.
The Maharashtra Assembly is composed of 288 members who are directly elected from single-member constituencies.
