Lok Sabha Elections 2024: BJP will win 4-5 seats in Kerala, says 'Metroman' E Sreedharan, declines return to active politics
E Sreedharan, popularly known as 'Metroman,' predicts BJP's victory in Kerala and affirms his retirement from active politics at 94 years old. He anticipates BJP securing four to five seats in the state, highlighting strong contenders like Suresh ...

"The Narendra Modi government will definitely come back to power at the national level after the polls. In Kerala also, the party will win at least 4-5 seats. The victory is 100 per cent sure in Thrissur constituency," he said.
Sreedharan's assertion extends to the BJP's projected success in securing four to five seats in Kerala during the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
He singled out BJP's candidates, foreseeing victories for Suresh Gopi in Thrissur, Rajeev Chandrasekhar in Thiruvananthapuram, V Muraleedharan in Attingal, and Shobha Surendran in Alappuzha.
Despite his unsuccessful attempt in the previous assembly polls, the 94-year-old Sreedharan reiterated his retirement from active politics. Sreedharan told reporters that he would not contest from Palakkad assembly constituency even if there is a bypoll as sitting MLA Shafi Parambil is contesting in the Lok Sabha polls from Vatakara.
“I am 94 now, even if I taste victory in elections, what good can I offer to people at this age? So, it is better to stay away from electoral politics", he had reportedly said in a recent interview.
Kerala is set to witness polling for all 20 Lok Sabha constituencies on April 26.
