“When INDIA Bloc was formed in Bengaluru, I have said many can board a train from Howrah station but who will get down where, it is his/ her decision. It is not known to the co-travellers. Mamata Banerjee is trying to get down and thus finding excuses. It may be a pre-decided thing. But why are you blaming CPI-M now?” Salim questioned.
The Left Front will fight against the corrupt Trinamool government in Bengal, CPI-M state secretary Mohammed Salim said on Friday.
Salim showed solidarity with Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra and said Rahul Gandhi is facing so many obstacles to take forward the people’s yatra in Bengal. “Prime Minister can do anything, Chief Minister can do anything anywhere but Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra cannot move forward. It is because Madhyamik examination and microphones cannot be used and he cannot wave his hands and so on,” Salim slammed the state administration.
“Media has said time and again that Mamata Banerjee is anti-BJP face. CPI-M was nowhere. What she is saying now has been said by her before every election. She has said earlier also that give us seats and we will decide after the polls. She has actually never fought with Congress since 1999,” Salim said.
Banerjee has blamed CPI-M for playing spoilsport in INDIA Bloc and spoiling her relationship with Congress.
With ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi re-entering West Bengal's Malda district from Bihar on Wednesday, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said her relationship with Congress was "cordial" but CPI-M played spoilsport in INDIA Bloc. She reiterated that she will go solo in Lok Sabha polls to defeat BJP and elaborated how she offered two seats in Malda to Congress to which they did not agree.
CPI-M Bengal leadership, including Mohd Salim and Sujan Chakraborty, had joined Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Murshidabad on Thursday, a day after Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee blamed CPI-M for playing spoilsport in her relationship with Congress.
