While the opposition to BJP's Rajkot candidate Parshottam Rupala by the Kshatriyas continues, some of the erstwhile royals of Saurashtra have now thrown their weight behind the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and signs of a possible resolution of the deadlock are slowly emerging.

Mandhata Singh Jadeja of Rajkot sought a resolution to the controversy and told the media that while India has achieved a spot of pride under Modi's leadership, the present crisis needs to be resolved through dialogues.

A similar statement came from Shatrushalya Singh, Jamsaheb of Jamnagar, who said Rupala has already apologised and should be forgiven if he apologises before community elders.
