Scared of contesting from seats dominated by Hindu population, Modi attacks Rahul Gandhi
"Leaders of that party are now scared of contesting from constituencies dominated by majority (Hindu) population," Modi said.
Without taking any name, Modi said: "Leaders of a party are now scared of contesting from constituencies dominated by majority (Hindu) population."
The statement comes after Congress party yesterday announced that Rahul will contest the Lok Sabha polls from Wayanad constituency in Kerala, besides Amethi in Uttar Pradesh.
Addressing a rally in Wardha district of Maharashtra, Modi said Congress has insulted Hindus by calling them terrorists and hence they are scared of fielding their candidates from constituencies dominated by Hindu population.
"Congress insulted Hindus...people have decided to punish them in election...hence, they are now scared of fielding candidate from constituencies dominated by majority population," Modi said.
He also accused Congress of branding "peace-loving Hindus" as terrorists and insulting those who follow the religion. "Congress coined the term Hindu terror," he said.
"Congress used the term 'Hindu terror'...it labelled the peace-loving Hindus as terrorists...is there a single incident of Hindu terrorism?" he added.
