"Not sex scandal, but mass rape," Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said at rally at Shivamogga in Karnataka referring to alleged sex scandal involving Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna.
“Every BJP leader was aware Prajwal Revanna is a mass rapist, yet they supported him, formed alliance with JD(S)", said Rahul Gandhi.
During an elections rally in Karnataka, Rahul Gandhi claimed, “Prajwal Revanna rapes 400 women and makes videos".
Rahul Gandhi also hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reiterating what Priyanka Gandhi had said, “On stage, PM Modi supported 'mass rapist".

Regarding the investigation, Parameshwara stated, "Our SIT members are taking legal opinion on whether to give time to the accused. The SIT will move forward to arrest him since there is no provision to give more than 24 hours." He also mentioned that one more victim has come forward and lodged a complaint against Revanna.
A woman has filed a police complaint accusing Prajwal and his father of sexually harassing her.

The SIT is expected to take further action based on legal advice and the ongoing investigation.
Prajwal, had left for Frankfurt on April 27, a day after the first phase of Lok Sabha elections in the state and soon after the state government announced formation of an SIT to probe the charges.
Breaking his silence ever since the alleged scandal broke out in the midst of electioneering for April 26 polling, Prajwal said the "truth shall prevail" and added, "As I am not in Bangalore to attend the inquiry, I've communicated with CID, Bangalore, through my advocate (about joining the probe)."
