Not enough control of cash, liquor flow in BBMP: EC

The commission made the observation as per a memorandum dated April 11, 2019.

To improve the enforcement, the Commission has transferred Munish Moudgil, former Commissioner, Survey, Settlements and Land Records, to the post of Special Officer (Enforcement), BBMP to monitor the activities of all enforcement activities.

The state Election Commission has expressed that enforcement teams have not been effective in controlling the flow of cash, liquor and other freebies within BBMP limits.

The commission made the observation as per a memorandum dated April 11, 2019. "It has been observed that the enforcement teams like SST, FST, Excise etc are not effective in controlling the movement of cash, liquor and freebies," stated the memorandum.


To improve the enforcement, the Commission has transferred Munish Moudgil, former Commissioner, Survey, Settlements and Land Records, to the post of Special Officer (Enforcement), BBMP to monitor the activities of all enforcement activities. Moudgil will also have the responsibility of developing a software for monitoring activities.
