Iss Chunav mein bhi safai hogi: PM Modi teases Opposition while giving National Creators Award for Swachhta Ambassador

In anticipation of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a dig at the Opposition during an event on Friday, honoring digital content creators from various fields.

Malhar Kalambe, the recipient of the inaugural National Creators Award in the 'Swachhta Ambassador' category, expressed his willingness to collaborate with the PM on the 'safai abhiyan' (cleanliness campaign).

"...Har prakaar ki safai mein kaam aa sakta hai, iss chunaav mein bhi safai hone wali hai (In this polls too there is going to be a clean sweep)," the PM remarked to Kalambe, drawing applause from the audience gathered at the Bharat Mandapam venue in the National Capital.


During the event, PM Modi also shared a light-hearted moment with Kalambe, advising him to eat properly as he appeared thin.

The PM was presenting the first-ever National Creators Award across 20 categories, aiming to recognize excellence and impact across various domains such as storytelling, social change advocacy, environmental sustainability, education, and gaming.

Over 1.5 lakh nominations were received across the 20 categories, with approximately 10 lakh votes cast during the voting phase. Subsequently, 23 winners, including three international creators, were selected.

The award categories span a wide range, including the Best Storyteller Award, The Disruptor of the Year, Celebrity Creator of the Year, Green Champion Award, Best Creator For Social Change, Most Impactful Agri Creator, and Cultural Ambassador of The Year, among others.

The event also recognized creators in specific niches such as travel, technology, heritage fashion, food, education, gaming, health, and fitness, highlighting the diverse contributions of digital content creators in driving positive change.
