Lok Sabha polls: Congress has emergency mindset, says PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the Congress of lacking faith in democracy, claiming it has an Emergency mindset and engages in negative politics to incite the public against him. Modi made these remarks while addressing BJP rallies in Rudrap...

Modi addressed BJP rallies in Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand, and Kotputli, Rajasthan, on Tuesday where he attacked Congress and Gandhi. In Rudraprayag, the PM said he was being "threatened and abused by the corrupt Opposition" and insisted this was not going to deter him from taking stricter action against graft in his next term.
Modi said: "Congress and INDI Alliance have made their intentions clear. Congress's royal family 'shehzada' (prince) has threatened that there will be fire if Modi gets another term in office. Staying out of power has made them so desperate that they are now talking about setting the country afire. Would you let them do it? Is this the kind of language used in a democracy? Wouldn't you punish them?"
Gandhi had alleged at the INDIA bloc rally in New Delhi on Sunday that if BJP won through match-fixing, the government would alter the Constitution and the country would be on fire.
"Congress, with its Emergency-mindset, no longer has faith in democracy. Therefore, it is busy instigating people against the electoral mandate," the PM alleged. He accused Congress of pushing the country towards instability and anarchy.
