NEW DELHI: The BJP will launch a campaign next week to seek suggestions from public for its manifesto for upcoming Lok Sabha polls, sources said.

The party has also finalised its candidates on several Lok Sabha seats of five states -- Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Telangana and West Bengal, sources said.

In a key huddle ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, BJP national president JP Nadda held a meeting along with party's election in-charges and co-in-charges of several states.

The election in-charges at the ongoing huddle include Baijayant Panda (UP), Dushyant Gautam (Uttrakhand), Tarun Chugh (J&K), Vinod Tawade (Bihar), and Biplav Deb (Haryana), among others.

Later in the day Nadda and along with senior BJP leader Amit Shah seperately met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Chattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma.

In these meeting BJP's state unit chiefs of all three states and other organisational leaders were also present.

Nadda and Shah also met BJP leaders from West Bengal and Telangana. In all these meetings discussions were held on finalising the candidates for weak Lok Sabha seats in these five states.

The BJP had prepared a list of 160 Lok Sabha seats and carried out comprehensive reach out exercise by involving senior party leaders and Union Ministers.

Apart from electoral strategies, the leaders at the meeting will also assess and take stock of ongoing programs and central schemes for targeting beneficiaries across a cross-section of society.
