Lok Sabha Elections: Key issues and promises in focus as LS campaigns heat up
With the Lok Sabha polls on the horizon, parties are gearing up with promises and guarantees. PM Modi's 'Modi Ki Guarantee' and Congress' 'Nyay' guarantees are set to clash, while issues like unemployment, CAA, and farmer problems take the spotlig...

Unemployment, Price Rise, and Ideological Battles
Key issues such as unemployment, rising prices, and ideological clashes between parties are likely to dominate the election discourse. The BJP will highlight its achievements in implementing the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019, and the abrogation of Article 370 for Jammu and Kashmir, while the opposition criticizes these moves as divisive and imposing uniformity.
Ram Mandir and Electoral Bonds
The recent consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya has given the BJP a boost, particularly in northern India. The party is also facing scrutiny over the electoral bonds scheme, with the Congress demanding a high-level probe.
'Amrit Kaal' Versus 'Anyay Kaal' and Farmer Issues
The BJP will focus on its governance record, highlighting achievements such as tiding over the pandemic and welfare measures for the poor. The opposition, on the other hand, will emphasize what they call the 'era of injustice' under the Modi government, pointing to issues like unemployment and rising prices. Farmer issues, including the Minimum Support Price, are also expected to be critical in the campaign.
The election will also witness a clash of ideologies between the BJP and the Congress, with both parties presenting their visions for the country. PM Modi has articulated a vision for a 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India) by 2047, which will be a key theme in the BJP's campaign.
The Lok Sabha polls, beginning on April 19, will see these issues take center stage as parties vie for voter attention and support.
