The Election Commission of India has announced the outcomes for all Lok Sabha constituencies, revealing that the BJP secured 240 seats out of the 543 total, while the Congress clinched 99 seats.
The final result from the Beed constituency in Maharashtra saw NCP candidate Bajrang Manohar Sonwane defeating BJP's Pankaja Munde by a margin of 6,553 votes.

Party wise performance
Counting was conducted for 542 seats as the BJP's Surat candidate, Mukesh Dalal, was elected unopposed.


Crorepati by party

Despite a tough electoral battle, Prime Minister Narendra Modi seems poised to form the government for a third consecutive term with the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) securing a majority in the Lok Sabha.


The BJP, known for campaigning in the name of Modi, won 240 seats, falling short of the 272 majority mark. They will need the support of allies within the NDA for government formation.

Reserved seats

Notably, the NDA received backing from key allies like N Chandrababu Naidu's Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Nitish Kumar's JD(U), among others.

Phase wise votes

On the opposition front, the Congress, a part of the INDIA bloc, secured 99 seats, an improvement from its previous tally.

Strike rate

The Samajwadi Party and Trinamool Congress also played crucial roles in bolstering the opposition's performance in Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal, respectively.

Women participation

Despite expectations of a landslide victory, the results didn't align with projections from exit polls. Over 640 million votes were cast in the extensive democratic process, conducted across seven phases from April 19 to June 1.
