The Karnal Lok Sabha constituency stands as one of the ten parliamentary constituencies in the northern Indian state of Haryana. Categorised as a general seat, it encompasses the entirety of Karnal and Panipat districts.
Electoral Overview:
Traditionally aligned with the Indian National Congress (INC), the Karnal Lok Sabha constituency has seen the INC emerge victorious on nine occasions since 1952. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has secured victory four times. Presently, Sanjay Bhatia from the BJP serves as the Member of Parliament for Karnal.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Sanjay Bhatia clinched victory for the BJP, defeating Kuldeep Sharma of the INC by an impressive margin of 6,56,142 votes. Bhatia garnered 911,594 votes (71%), while Sharma secured 255,452 votes (20%).
