SC dismisses plea filed by 21 Opposition leaders seeking review of VVPAT
The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed the review petition filed by 21 Opposition leaders demanding the random matching of at least 50 percent of the Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) slips with the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in every Assembly segment. CJI Ranjan Gogoi, heading the bench hearing the review, said that the court was "not inclined to interfere" and review its earlier order.
