How can 80% be threatened by 14%, asks NC's Omar Abdullah

Srinagar: Alluding to PM Modi's speech in Rajasthan, former J&K CM and NC leader Omar Abdullah on Monday said at an election rally in south Kashmir that 14% Muslims in India can never be a danger to 80% Hindu population.

"In the rest of the country they are saying Hindus are in danger. Hindus comprise 80% of the population while Muslims comprise 14%," said Abdullah, adding, "How can 80% be threatened by 14%?"

Abdullah, who is fighting Lok Sabha elections from Baramulla constituency of north Kashmir, stated that "Muslims just demand what they deserve and what is their right..."
