The constituency saw 3,297 postal votes and 5,482 service voters. In 2014, the voter count stood at 19,86,109, with 11,05,732 males and 8,80,377 females, alongside 971 postal votes and 2,957 service voters.

In the 2019 elections, Dr. Mahesh Sharma secured victory with a remarkable margin, polling 8,30,812 votes and a vote share of 59.64%.
