Amid political slugfest over electoral bonds, RSS general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale said it was an experiment, like the introduction of electronic voting machines, and such experiments were required.

Hosabale was on Sunday re-elected as the general secretary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Addressing a press conference on the last day of the 'Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha' in Nagpur, Hosabale suggested that the concept of minorities as mentioned in the Constitution needs to be rethought as the country belongs to all (irrespective of their strength).

"It is required to rethink the concept of minorities as mentioned in the Constitution. The country belongs to everyone. But a tradition of calling (some communities) minorities has taken shape for the past many decades. Sangh has always opposed such politics," Hosabale said while responding to a question.

Underlining that there are many from minority communities (especially Muslims and Christians) who are part of RSS activities and its organisation, Hosabale said the Sangh doesn't want to show them or display them as showpieces.
