2019 Polls: No alliance with AAP in Delhi, says Sheila Dikshit
New Delhi: The Congress will not form an alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party in the national capital for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Delhi Congress chief Sheila Dikshit told reporters on Tuesday. "A unanimous decision has been taken that there will be no alliance in Delhi," Dikshit said.

The announcement by the former Delhi chief minister came following a meeting with Congress president Rahul Gandhi.

Meanwhile, Kejriwal slammed Congress for not joining hands with AAP and said that the move will split anti-BJP votes.

"At a time when the whole country wants to defeat Modi- Shah duo, Cong is helping BJP by splitting anti-BJP vote. Rumours r that Cong has some secret understanding wid BJP. Delhi is ready to fight against Cong-BJP alliance. People will defeat this unholy alliance," tweeted the AAP leader.

AAP had already announced names of its candidates for six Lok Sabha constituencies in Delhi a couple of days back, and was in the process of announcing the name of another candidate for the last Lok Sabha constituency in Delhi.
