The Congress party on Tuesday released another list of candidates for the ongoing Lok Sabha polls in the country. The party has fielded actor-turned politician Raj Babbar from Gurgaon constituency. With this, the Congress has announced candidates for all the nine seats it is contesting in Haryana, which sends 10 members to the Lower House of Parliament.

The grand old party has unveiled four candidates in its latest list. Former Union minister Anand Sharma will contest from Kangra in Himachal Pradesh, while Former Una MLA Satpal Raizada has been given a ticket from Hamirpur constituency. Moreover, Bhushan Patil has been named as the candidate for Mumbai North.

Raj Babbar, a seasoned Congress leader, has previously served as a Member of Parliament twice from Firozabad in Uttar Pradesh.


The Kurukshetra seat is being fought by the Aam Aadmi Party, a constituent of the opposition INDIA bloc, of which the Congress is also a part.

Babbar has been fielded against BJP veteran and Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh.
