As BJP delays announcement for Bengaluru South, Tejaswini says nation & party first
Wife of the late Union Minister, Ananthkumar, Tejaswini’s name did not figure in the first two lists raising eyebrows among the party leaders and workers in Karnataka.

In a tweet she said: “Today hundreds of our anxious well-wishers & BJP karyakartas visited our house. I told them AnanthKumar ji always believed in: Nation First, Party Next, I Last. On the same lines let's all abide by the decision of the central leadership & work towards #NamoAgain

Party workers have already started campaning in Bengaluru South, and the development was an unexpected one.
The BJP is expecting an announcement any moment. The reasons for delaying the announcement is not known yet. Names of the possible candidates for Bengaluru South are pending before PM Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah for vetting and approval.
Ananth Kumar represented the seat for six times in a row since his first election in 1996, and the Congress last won here 30 years ago.
