The single phase voting for the Lok Sabha elections will take place on April 19 in Andaman & Nicobar Islands, according to the Election Commission of India (EC). Meawnhile, counting of votes will take place along with all other states on June 4.

The Union territory has just a single Lok Sabha seat. In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Kuldeep Rai Sharma from the Indian National Congress (INC) secured victory in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Lok Sabha constituency, in the Union Territory, garnering 95,308 votes. The voter participation rate was 65.18%, with 16 candidates vying for the position.

In Andaman and Nicobar Island, the dominant political forces are the Indian National Congress (INC) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Kuladeep Sharma from the INC clinched a win by a slim margin of 1,407 votes over Vishal Jolly of the BJP in 2019.
