Voters wait in a queue to cast their votes for the sixth phase of Lok Sabha Polls, in Anantnag on Saturday.
Devsar: Anantnag-Rajouri parliamentary constituency spread across Pir Panjal mountains in Jammu and Kashmir has recorded around 53% voting till highest in the last 35 years.

With this the Lok Sabha elections on five seats of Jammu and Kashmir and one seat of Ladakh are over. This parliamentary election has seen an overwhelming participation of people in Kashmir with an average of over 50 percent of voting recorded across the Valley.

Baramulla constituency recorded 59 percent voting, Srinagar Lok Sabha seat recorded 39 percent voting. On Jammu Lok Sabha seat 72.22 percent votes were polled, while in Udhampur 68 percent votes were polled taking the total percentage of voting across J&K to 58% in this LS election.


"We are voting to get some relief in our lives. Our business, employment and identity has been snatched from us," said Bashir Ahmad Kawa, 70 , of Nussu area of Anantnag.
