2024 Lok Sabha polls: Congress releases fresh list of 16 candidates; Vikramaditya Singh fielded against BJP's Kangana Ranaut

The Congress party on Saturday released a fresh list of 16 candidates for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

The grand old party has fielded Himachal government minister Vikramaditya Singh against BJP's actress-turned politician Kangana Ranaut.

Vikramaditya Singh hit the headlines a month ago after fomenting a rebellion against Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, and Congress had to send some of its top leaders to control the situation. Singh is the son of late Virbhadra Singh, who served six terms as the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh.


Earlier this week, Kangana Ranaut slammed Vikramaditya Singh, asserting that he cannot threaten her and send her back as Himacha Pradesh is not his ancestors' estate.

Veteran Congress leader Manish Tewari will be contesting from Chandigarh seat against BJP's Sanjay Tandon who replaced sitting MP Kirron Kher.
