Directive for Licensees
According to the Delhi excise department's order, all liquor stores and bars must remain closed during this period. Licensees are required to display the order prominently at their licensed premises. "The business premises of a licensee shall be kept closed on dry day," the order emphasized. Licensees will not receive compensation for any changes resulting from this directive.
Additional Dry Day on Vote Counting Day
An additional dry day is scheduled for June 4, coinciding with the counting of votes. This period will extend until the election results are announced to ensure public order during this crucial phase.
Implementation in Surrounding Regions
Similar measures will be implemented in Gurugram, Haryana, and the Delhi NCR region, following the ECI's directive. Dry days in these regions are also set from 6 PM on May 23 to 6 PM on May 25 to maintain order and peace during the elections.
The sixth phase of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 is scheduled for May 25, with polling in 58 constituencies across six states and two Union territories. This phase includes all seven seats in Delhi and all ten seats in Haryana. Voting will commence at 7 AM and conclude at 6 PM.

A total of 889 candidates are contesting in this phase across the following constituencies:
- Delhi: Chandni Chowk, North East Delhi, East Delhi, New Delhi, North West Delhi, South Delhi
- Haryana: Ambala, Kurukshetra, Sirsa, Hisar, Karnal, Sonipat, Rohtak, Bhiwani-Mahendragarh, Gurgaon, Faridabad
- Jammu & Kashmir: Anantnag-Rajouri
- Bihar: Valmiki Nagar, Paschim Champaran, Purvi Champaran, Sheohar, Vaishali, Gopalganj (SC), Siwan, Maharajganj
- Odisha: Bhubaneswar, Puri, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar (SC), Cuttack, Sambalpur
- Uttar Pradesh: Sultanpur, Pratapgarh, Phulpur, Allahabad, Ambedkar Nagar, Shrawasti, Domriyaganj, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Lalganj, Azamgarh, Jaunpur, Machhlishahr, Bhadohi
- West Bengal: Tamluk, Kanthi, Ghatal, Jhargram, Medinipur, Purulia, Bankura, Bishnupur
- Jharkhand: Giridih, Dhanbad, Ranchi, Jamshedpur
