"They want to kill my husband Arvind Kejriwal. his food is under camera observation; he is denied insulin. My husband is a sugar patient who has been on insulin for 12 years; he needs 50 units of insulin daily," Sunita said at the Ulgulan Nyay Rally in Ranchi.
She claimed that her husband was jailed for working for the people "Jan Seva" and no charges could be proved against him.
"We will fight against dictatorship and win. The gates of jail will break and Arvind Kejriwal and Hemant Soren will come out," she said.
She further revealed that despite being a diabetes patient who has been taking insulin for 12 years, Arvind Kejriwal is allegedly being denied insulin in jail, raising concerns about his health and safety.
Denial of Basic Needs
Accusations of Dictatorship
Sunita Kejriwal did not mince words in her criticism of the current regime, labeling it a dictatorship for imprisoning Arvind Kejriwal and his Jharkhand counterpart, Hemant Soren, without concrete evidence of their alleged wrongdoings. She questioned the motive behind these actions, pointing out that both leaders have been advocates for better education and healthcare facilities, suggesting a political vendetta.
Despite the challenges he faces, Sunita Kejriwal highlighted her husband's courage and commitment to serving the nation. She praised Arvind Kejriwal for his sacrifices, including prioritizing public service over personal gain, and urged the people to stand against what she perceives as an unjust and oppressive regime.
Health Concerns
Sunita Kejriwal's accusations have brought attention to the conditions faced by her husband in Tihar jail and have sparked a debate about the treatment of political prisoners. The allegations of a conspiracy to harm Arvind Kejriwal and the denial of his basic medical needs raise serious questions about the state of democracy and human rights in India.
