With No PM face, INDIA bloc will rotate chair: Amit Shah

Union home minister Amit Shah Thursday claimed that INDIA bloc doesn't have a PM face and they will rotate the PM's chair if they come to power.

Shah addressed two rallies in Madhubani and Sitamarhi in Bihar. "They (INDIA bloc) doesn't have a face for the PM's post. The country has decided to give Modi ji a third term. But, can you tell me who will be INDIA bloc's PM candidate?... They have decided to rotate the PM's chair among themselves. I must say running the country is not like running a grocery store. If a situation like Covid pandemic arises, can they save the country? Will they be able to protect the country from terrorists?" he said.

Shah reiterated in Sitamarhi that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir belongs to India and will be taken back at any cost.


Shah said the Modi government will also ensure full security along the India-Nepal border in its third term.

Attacking Lalu Prasad and Congress, Shah said RJD is in alliance with Congress which opposed the Mandal Commission.

"PM Modi has given respect to lakhs of people from the backward classes. Lalu joined hands with the Congress only to make his son, Tejashwi Yadav, the chief minister of Bihar... but the state needs vikas raj, not jungelraj," he said.

He also touched upon the issue of conferring Bharat Ratna to former CM of Bihar Karpoori Thakur.

"Congress and RJD never thought of conferring Bharat Ratna on former Bihar chief minister Karpoori Thakur... it was done by the Modi government," he added.

While speaking in Sitamarhi, Shah talked about developing the Punaura Dham Mandir, a temple in Sitamarhi district considered to be the birthplace of Goddess Sita, as an international pilgrimage site. "After Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, we will construct a massive temple of Sita Mata in Sitamarhi," he said.
